Brazilian butt lift procedure uses specialized fat transfer technique to achieve a rounder and fuller butt contour. In this procedure, the excess of fat is removed from the abdomen, lower back, hip and thighs via liposuction and then injected strategically into the butts after purification.
Following are the reasons to consider Brazilian butt lift:
Enhance lower body curve
Reduce fat pockets on thighs, belly and hips
Add fullness and roundness to butts.
Give an aesthetically pleasing and more youthful shape to your flat butts
Improve the balance between the upper and the lower body.
Frequently Asking Questions
A butt lift surgery aims to tighten the loose skin in the buttocks area and give the buttocks a more firm and enhanced look. It removes any sagging skin after an individual undergoes extensive weight loss and tones the buttock. This can be done through liposuction.
Buttock augmentation is a multi-step fat transfer process that begins with gentle liposuction of the fat donor areas. Fat is removed and the donor areas contoured, which is an additional benefit for buttock augmentation patients. Common areas for donor sites include the “love handles”, stomach, or thighs.
Recovery from a BBL takes about six weeks. For the first two, you will need to avoid both sitting and laying directly on your backside. Sleeping will need to be done on your side or stomach, and sitting will require a donut seat or pillow. The seat/pillow may need to be used for up to eight weeks in some cases.
This is because your body, specifically your skin and tissue, need to become adjusted to your new body. While the discomfort may be a bit of a nuisance, you shouldn’t feel any severe pain. What is the Recovery Like? Recovering from a Brazilian butt lift takes about two weeks.
Please, don’t sleep on your side after your BBL surgery. While it’s not the most ideal position, you can sleep on your back. We recommend you avoid this until 2-3 weeks after your BBL surgery so it does not affect your final results.
Fat transfer recovery time varies from patient to patient, but most people should arrange to take at least 7-10 days off from work and other social activities. Initial healing takes a few weeks, after which the swelling will gradually subside before the final results are apparent.
It is common to still be swollen just 2 weeks post-op and you may continue to experience swelling for up to 6 weeks, if not more, after surgery. It may appear that you are wider across your back and stomach because of the swelling and fluid that may still be draining from the liposuction.
Dr Samir generally advises patients to avoid alcohol for at least one to two weeks after surgery—and only after you have finished taking your pain medications. This is because mixing alcohol with painkillers can be a dangerous combination, putting you at risk of damaging your wounds and over-exerting yourself.
